#Ibiza Villas for Rent - Apartments in Ibiza

Things to do

-Beaches. On Ibiza you’ll never be far from a magnificent beach. On the west of the island is Cala Tarida, which boasts a long and wide expanse of gleaming white sand, lapped by clear turquoise waters. For a little seclusion there’s Cala Xuclar to the north, which is a hidden cove accompanied by a lone beach bar.

-Watersports. The comfortable water temperatures around Ibiza make the island a haven for water sports enthusiasts. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are two of the biggest activities here. There are also watersports centres such as at S’Argamassa, offering boat rentals, water-skiing and jet-skis.

-Nightlife. San Antonio’s nightlife is legendary and raucous, and remains home to some of the biggest nightclubs visited by the world’s best known DJs. There are also two casinos in here. Elsewhere, at locations like Formentera and Ibiza Town, things are a little calmer, with inviting local bars and cafes.

-Outdoor recreation. Ibiza’s inland is picturesque and well worth exploring by bike or on foot, especially in the mild spring or autumn months. There are 21 designated off-road biking routes, taking in the craggy coastline as well as some of the more challenging portions of the island’s rugged terrain. Meanwhile golfers can enjoy a round at Club de Golf Ibiza.

-Historic monuments. There are a handful of Roman sites dotted around Ibiza, like the aqueduct at S’Argamassa. But perhaps the most important historical site is the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ibiza Town, in the form of the old city’s Renaissance defensive walls, which are beautifully preserved. Within the walls is the beautiful gothic cathedral, dating to the 1500s.

Weather in Ibiza

Ibiza holiday villas are set on an island with a classic Mediterranean climate, which means warm or mild weather throughout the year. Summers are long, warm and dry, starting in May, with temperatures that reach well above 30 degrees in July and August. Spring and autumn weather is mostly comfortably warm, bringing highs in the high-teens or low-20s. October is the wettest month of the year, and is known for its storms. Winters are normally mild and clear, with a few days more rainfall per month than in the summer.

Travel to Ibiza apartments

Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is on the southern tip of the island, and can be reached from airports across Spain, Europe and the Balearic Islands. You can also reach Ibiza from the Spanish mainland by boat, with services from Barcelona and Valencia to San Antonio Harbour. There’s a good bus system across the island, with services running in some areas for almost 24 hours. Hire cars are perhaps the most convenient form of transport, although taxis are relatively affordable, especially if you’re travelling in a group.
