Read what some of our travellers had to say about New York City

First, from P.

NYC is my absolutely favourite city to visit. Filled with bright lights and a fast paced atmosphere, there really isn't anything they have missed in the island of Manhattan. Make sure you go for a walk to the West Village and get some breakfast at Extra Virgin because it has a beautiful atmosphere.

The West Village is known for its artsy culture, good food and stylish people. The boutiques are endless and the cobblestone ground makes you feel like you are in a movie. The tree lined staircases in front of the apartments with cast iron facades will make you feel a million miles away from home.

A short stroll away from the Soho area, is Little Italy. You can get some of the best and cheesiest pizzas around. On the other hand if you prefer something more health conscious. stop in at The Butcher's Daughter for a green juice or a kale salad. They also do a great takeaway cawfee! If you love some greenery, grab some nibbles from Wholefoods and put a blanket down in Central Park. Nothing beats lying down in a serene park filled with beautiful lakes, ponds, horses, and then looking up to see tall character filled buildings throughout the sky. It doesn't matter what accommodation you stay at because you can catch the subway or walk anywhere quite easily. The city is magical, you have to go!

Second, from P.

My favourite holiday location would have to be New York City because the city is filled with the most amazing friendly people. There are so many things to see and do in New York, we enjoy going to Broadway shows where you can see some very famous Hollywood stars onstage. There is also plenty of incredible shopping places like Bloomingdale, Century 21, H&M, and Macy’s.

The city if full of beautiful site seeing such as, The Empire State Building, The Chrysler Building, The Statue of Liberty, and the general architecture of the city itself with its Elegant Old Building so impeccably restored. Time Square is bustling and busy, yet so colourful and bright. It is open all hours, so you can go anytime of the day or night. If you ever get lost, there are plenty of friendly people that will help direct you.

Central Park is a place not to be missed. You can either walk through it, rent a bike or take a wonderfully romantic Carriage Ride. Inside Central Park there are so many things to see such as a Magical Old Castle rebuilt stone by stone, the John Lennon Memorial and many other seasonal events. Getting around New York is so easy, there are buses every few minutes to take you nearly everywhere, plus there is the subway and no shortage of taxis.

There are so many places to stay from budget to posh, but if you choose somewhere in the middle like us, you will be staying pretty close to the centre of the city which is just a quick bus ride or walk away. There are so many different and Unique things to see and do in New York. We have been there twice and are already saving for our next trip. It is a wonderful place to visit and we can not wait to go again.
