#College Credit Plus

Clark State and the College Credit Plus Program are a winning combination – for you!

You’ll get personal attention (that’s a good thing) from your professors with our small class sizes. And why travel so far when you don’t have to? Clark State campuses are convenient to get to and easy to find.

Are you ready for college? Ohio’s new College Credit Plus (CCP) Program can help you earn college credit and high school credit at the same time. The program starts this fall. The College Credit Plus Program provides high schools students who are academically ready for college with a chance to start early. Taking a College Credit Plus Program course is free, which means no cost for tuition, books or fees!

Under the College Credit Plus Program, you can complete your first year of college or more. Earning college credits while you’re in high school can reduce your time and costs of attending college after high school. After graduating from high school, you can use your College Credit Plus Program credits to continue your education at Clark State to complete a certificate or associate’s degree.

Interested in another college? You can take classes at Clark State, then transfer the credits you earn to another Ohio college or university. Many entry-level courses earned at Clark State are guaranteed to transfer to any other Ohio public college.

Out-of-state colleges will evaluate the credits you would like to transfer after Clark State. Go to https://transfercredit.ohio.gov to learn more about which credits will transfer among the state’s public institutions of higher education.

Some College Credit Plus Program classes are taught at your own high school by either a high school teacher or a Clark State instructor. You may also take classes at any of the Clark State locations or online that are taught by Clark State instructors and may be proctored by teachers from your high school.

Earning college credit will not affect applications for financial aid/scholarships limited to entering freshmen. Eligibility Requirements All students in 7th through 12th grades are eligible to apply. You must meet certain course completion or test score requirements to show that you are academically prepared for classes.
