Everyone has fantasized about being king for a day, and that dream can become reality in Hungary sort of. While you can t become king, the small Hungarian village of Megyer will let you be deputy mayor. Being king sounded too burdensome, anyway.

Megyer, population of 18, is now available for rent to companies and tourists for $750 a day. For the fee, the renter receives seven guesthouses that sleep 39 people total, four streets, a bus stop, a barn, a chicken yard, six horses, two cows, three sheep, ten acres of farmland and the temporary title of Deputy Mayor. In addition to all these perks, the new mayor can also change street names to whatever they want for the duration of their stay in the village.

The aim of this whole deal is to revitalize the tranquil village located 120 miles southwest of Budapest, which dates back to the 11th century. Businesses using the village for team-building activities are encouraged by Mayor Krostof Pajer to incorporate small village improvements into their exercises, citing painting playground swings as an example.
