The Housing Services Department also partners with other service agencies throughout the county as a lead housing provider for various supportive housing programs. SHORT-TERM HOUSINGSHELTER, Inc. operates Mountain View Emergency Family Shelter for homeless families with children in need of immediate emergency housing. To request a room call (925) 957-7568. This facility can accommodate 7 to 10 families (up to 30 people). Residents meet regularly with a case manager who assists with locating a placement in long term housing. If you are receiving services from a county or nonprofit agency, please contact your worker for an expedited referral. If you don’t have a worker, please call (925) 338-1038. TRANSITIONAL HOUSINGSHELTER, Inc. operates temporary housing for homeless families in two apartment complexes in East Contra Costa County. Additional temporary housing is offered to homeless families and individuals in apartment units scattered throughout Contra Costa County. Residents pay rent equal to 30% of their adjusted monthly income. Clients meet regularly with a case manager to locate and secure permanent housing.
