Short-term furnished apartments are an economical alternative for abbreviated stays in New York City. Whether you are relocating or simply visiting for an extended period - in town for business or leisure – Metropolitan can find you a home away from home.

Typically leases for short-term apartments are between 30 days and 12 months. These units are available all over Manhattan and at reasonable prices. If you were to stay in a hotel, you would be offered a bed, a bathroom and not a whole lot else. Furnished apartments give you all the amenities of home. Each unit comes equipped with furniture, kitchenware, bed linens, bathroom appliances and towels, wall décor, electronics and utilities – all at 30 to 50% ­less than the cost of upscale hotels.

You, the tenant, are provided with a kitchen to prepare home-cooked meals, a living room in which to entertain and a separate bedroom for added privacy. Unlike the revolving doors of hotels, furnished apartments offer the safety and security of any other residential apartment building. In addition, laundry facilities are provided in house (in building or in apartment) as well as an optional housekeeping service.

Your monthly rent payment includes all the conveniences listed above and, in some cases, gas, electric and local cable.

Lastly, in an attempt to accommodate all family members, some of the furnished housing units allow pets. Ask your Metropolitan agent for more details.
