Good central flat

This is basically a really good flat - mostly very well-equipped and well presented, in a superb location for visiting Edinburgh - quiet, good local area with excellent buses into centre - the kitchen has just one or two irritating features which stop me rating the flat excellent. I was on my own and so just about coped with the tiny table - and it is the only surface anywhere in the flat for eating and working. Cooking was tricky as the kitchen knives are all completely blunt to the point of being dangerous. You really should be able to chop an onion! One lovely feature for me was decent radios - rare in a holiday flat.

Enjoyed our stay at the apartment and it was nicely appointed. We had a bit of a problem initially as there was no parking available in the designated area, so had to pay & display for a time, but got it resolved in the end.

Good apartment, central position, delightful outlook

East Claremont Street is a fine, broad, cobbled avenue flanked by handsome Victorian terraces within walking distance of Edinburgh City Centre. 77/4 is a third floor apartment approached by stairs within a deep stairwell, beautifully adorned with stucco work. The flat has a well-equipped kitchen, a lounge commanding glorious views of the city and two comfortable bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room. It is clean, warm, comfortable and quiet - a digital detox is possible! The family owners offer a personal welcome and are most interested in the performing arts. We had a wonderful week here and are most grateful to the Poole family for their advice on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We certainly hope to return for future summer events.

Great location for all your Edinburgh needs!

The flat is very appointed. The bedrooms are of decent size and comfortable. Everything in the flat was of working order with a modern kitchen, bathroom and sizable lounge and dining area. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to our shifting schedule due to weather and university admission delays. The wifi does work but not in the bedrooms due to the placement of the router in the lounge and the thickness of the walls. We have minor comments for improvement: There was no blow dryer available. It would have been nice to include a cafetiere to make coffee in the flat in the morning. The kitchen only had one tea towel and no kitchen roll which made cleaning a challenge for a 4 night stay. We would recommend this accommodation and hope to stay again!

Best apartment stay in Edinburgh yet *****

Six of us stayed at the Penthouse for the last week of August and it was our third experience of a self-catering let in Edinburgh at this time of year. It was by far our favourite! The apartment is gorgeous and spacious with breathtaking views - castle to one side and Forth Road bridge/harbour to the other - with ample parking and public transit. (Half of us were by car and the others by bus and those on the bus usually got into/out of town quicker!) The owner, Maggie, was extremely welcoming and helpful; everything we needed for a week was already in the apartment (this hasn’t always been the case in our experience) and she was available whenever we tried to get in touch before/during our stay. Can’t recommend her highly enough!

An excellent weekend stay

This was a very good flat in a convenient location close to shops, restaurants and Playhouse. Very spacious, well equipped, with a good level of safety this would certainly be my first choice for a return visit to Edinburgh. If I am allowed to be a bit 'picky' and this is not the owner's fault, rather the people who stay there, the carpets could do with a clean and perhaps the provision of a more substantial shower in the main bathroom. Otherwise a great stay thank you. Also a thank you to Edinburgh Flats who were very professional and helpful.

Good flat,brilliant location

Combined kitchen/sitting room, one bed flat suitable for a couple. Well furnished and equipped. A really brilliant location, especially for Festival visitors: next door to the Usher Hall and Royal Lyceum Theatre, 2 minutes walk from the Traverse Theatre. Next to a bus stop with excellent services to the rest of the city. Despite its busy location I didn't find it noisy at night. Highly recommended, and I hope to return.

In the heart of the Fringe!

If you want to be in the centre of the Fringe, this is within walking distance of most venues and round the corner of The Royal Mile. Beautiful, stylish flat and quiet at night up 2 flights of stairs. Comfortable beds and all basic mod cons provided including Wi-Fi, and quality fittings. Would use again.
