London Apartments: Best apartments in London for rent

Big Ben, the London Eye, Tate modern and the British museum are just a few of the most popular attractions that London has to offer. As well as being the capital of the United Kingdom it is also a cultural capital of music, fashion, politics and business which explains why it tops the list as one of the most popular tourist destinations.

All our apartments are fully equipped with kitchen, heating, washing machine, microwave and have everything you need to ensure it is your home away from home. We have individually selected each and every one of our apartments in London and ensured they are located in the best possible areas; whether you are travelling with your family, with a group of friends or on a business trip, we are sure to have an apartment that suits your needs.

The British are not very famous for their fine cuisine; however there are many dishes that are definitely worth trying during your stay in London that may even lead you to leave the city saying that the Brits really do eat well.

The Sunday roast is a must – whether its roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, roast chicken with stuffing or roast lamb and mint sauce, it will always be served with roast potatoes and vegetables.

The jacket potato is another favorite, simply a potato baked in its skin, or “jacket” in the oven until the skin is crispy. Served simply with butter, or for a more complete meal, tuna, mayonnaise, coleslaw or baked beans.

Fish and chips, deep fried cod in batter or hake served with chips, are another must, but not recommended for those with cholesterol problems!

You’ll be spoilt for choice in London with so many attractions to suit all budgets and tastes. For those who’d like to catch a glimpse of the Queen Elizabeth, your first stop should be Buckingham Palace where you can see her great collection of personal treasures; from fine jewels to Rembrandt paintings. Whilst near the palace, you cannot miss the Changing of the Guard, an eye-catching ceremony of the impeccably dressed royal guards.

Another must see is Big Ben, the nick name of the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Westminster Palace.

For art lovers we recommend the Tate Modern in Bankside, a seven storey gallery with some stunning art on show dating from 1900AD to the present day.

From designer shops to chic boutiques, London is great for shopping. If you’re looking for all the high street stores, Oxford Street is the place for you. Portabello, Brick Lane and Camden market are the places to be if you’re looking for the best fashion.

However, a trip to London is not complete without visiting department stores such as Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Why not visit Fortnum & Mason, the official grocer to The Queen and buy some of the finest and most indulgent delicatessen.

Like most major cities, London has plenty of activities for children, and even better, many museums are free for the under 12s. The London eye is an obvious starting point, this is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom. The Eye gives you breathtaking views of the city.

Why not let your children build a bee hotel, make their own ink from mushroom and hunt for fossils in The Natural History Museum.

If you’d rather be out and about in the fresh air, Corams Fields is a unique seven acre adventure playground and has activities for children of all ages. The Hanover Gate playground in Regents Park is another popular choice as it has a wonderful timber tree house for children to play in.

London has a buzzing nightlife with clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Fabric and Heaven being the biggest and best places to be seen after dark. If you’d rather have a “pint” in a typical English Pub, then The Chando’s in Covent Garden is the place to go.

For those who’d like to savour a smooth cocktail, the list of cocktail bars is endless although the Lewis Carroll inspired Callooh Callay in North – East London is definitely at the top of our list.
