Uptown is a Public Improvement District (PID) and neighborhood in the Oak Lawn area of downtown Dallas. It's bordered by US 75 (Central Expressway) on the east, Bookhout Street and Cedar Springs Road on the west, and Spur 366 (Woodall Rodgers Freeway) on the south.

The McKinney Avenue Trolley, a 1930s steel-wheel electric trolley car, transports visitors back and forth from Cole Park to Hotel ZaZa. The McKinney Avenue Transit Authority boasts four vintage trolley cars (Rosie, Green Dragon, Matilda, and Petunia) painted in post-war, red-and-cream color schemes, that transport nearly 20,000 passengers per year on only 5 miles of track.
