I would like to provide feedback for my experience as a former resident of this apartment community.

I have rented from many apartment communities and interacted with dozens of apartment managers, but none have left such a memorable impression as your manager, Melissa Jimenez. Melissa very well may be the sole reason I and others I refer, would perpetually lease from the Villas at Anaheim and any other apartment community she manages.

I have taken the liberty of posting this feedback on Yelp and other apartment review sites; therefore, I would like to elaborate. There were several changes during my stay at the then Via San Giorgio, now Villas at Anaheim.My  initial lease agreement was under a company by the name of Rondel Homes, I believe, and the leasing agent/manager at that time was Shelisha. I had a very pleasant experience with Shelisha and was sad to see her leave. It was my understanding that Shelisha would continue as a leasing agent but work with other communities. There was a temporary manager during the interim before the new manager; I suppose this was due to a search for a qualified person. I was not particularly satisfied with the interim manager. She was quite abrasive and disconnected from the residents, such that any inquires seemed to inconvenience her. I found her type of approach particularly off putting since I had just signed a year lease and was therefore obligated to endure her management. I regret that I was not in the least disappointed when a new manager was chosen.

Once notification was rendered to us (the tenants) that a new manager was selected, I was a bit anxious to see what he or she would be like; after all, this person could make or brake my living experience for the remainder of the year. To my surprise, Melissa sent a letter went out to all residents introducing the new manager! This was a simple gesture, but quite pleasant and necessary for all of the changes that had previously taken place. That was just the beginning, I began to see SO MANY changes/transformations throughout the community. There were changes that had profound effect on the living experience there. Melissa made changes to the laundry room and grounds overall. Melissa over hauled the mailboxes to be more efficient and ascetically pleasing, and she even updated the security access to the building. One of the most particularly fantastic and notable aspects of Melissa's management was the communication she had with each resident. Although she maintains and VERY professional environment, she makes residents feel appreciated and feel like valued parts of the community. Melissa is the reason apartment communities NEED managers, more specifically, apartment communities need managers like Melissa! These comments may seem a embellished, but I assure you they are accurate. Melissa has made such a significant change to this community and she has directly increased its value.

Renters/Tenants have choices. Melissa has made the Villas at Anaheim a beautiful community. she has made it a safe and pleasant place to live. However, Villas at Anaheim is not the most affordable community around. Although the expense is one of the most salient factors in renting, most people will pay more to deal with a manager who is professional, diligent, and appreciates the residents within the community. After all, this is a business, and even though people need places to live, there are dozens of communities to choose from. Tenants have an  awareness that so much money will be handed over for a place that will NEVER be owned by them; if that isn't bad enough, to pay such a high monthly payment, never own it, and have to deal with a manager who acts as though the tenants should be grateful to pay rent there, is a gross miscalculation.

With that said,  Melissa is a PRICELESS asset to your company.

I am an avid reader of apartment reviews prior to renting and I must post my experience since this manager, Melissa, is one of a kind.
