#A Truly Tiny Apartment Under the Eaves in Paris You think you know little? How about an entire apartment that's less than 125 square feet? Yes, it's possible — and it's in Paris. Catherine, who works in fashion, hired designer Marianne Evennou to turn her 'small, even microscopic' Marais studio into a home. I'm guessing the space was too small to photograph more than a corner at a time, so I've had to piece together the apartment's layout from little clues in the photos (a fun game). Here's what this 11.3 square meter (121 square foot) place has going on. When you step inside, you'll see a closet on your right. Directly in front of you is the apartment's tiny kitchen, as pictured up top. The kitchen has a little table that can function as a workspace or desk, and a set of stairs that go up to what I'm guessing is a sleeping loft — although the couch looks like it could function as a bed as well, if you don't feel like climbing the stairs. To your left is the apartment's main living room, tucked neatly under the eaves. The door at left leads to what may be the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. What I love about Marianne's design for the space is that despite its smallness she hasn't shied away from interesting, moody colors. The dusty pink in the living room is perfectly on trend. and the vertical stripes in the kitchen lend a little interest (and an illusion of extra height!) to a small space. The whole place is proof that clever solutions can make even the littlest space livable, and that your home can be super stylish no matter its size.
