I moved into Evanston Place a little over a week ago.  From my original tour, to move in day, through the first week, I have been so impressed.  The staff have made me feel comfortable and have answered all my questions.  The building has a true sense of community.  I have been excited to come home from work each day and enjoy my building!

Poor management. I was be given one month free but still charge me plus 800 hundreds delay fee. They has been working on this issue for more than 1 month. I am so disappointed. Our local officer are nice people I like them. But the management is so bad, and customer service is very rude to me.

I didn't mind paying the expensive rent and utilities (and monthly cat fee) for the convenience of a luxury apartment.  The apartments are clean, and if you have any small issue, the maintenance team fixes it immediately. The front staff are friendly.

BUT, the entire building shakes and rattles.  No joke.  It's like I am living in a permanent state of earthquake aftershocks, or under a roller coaster like that scene in Annie Hall.  I moved in in July, and my apartment shook and rattled. Evanston Place Apartments moved me, at their expense, to another apartment down the hall which seemed quieter.  I have been in this one ever since, and it is better than the first, but I still hear and feel the shakes and rattles over sixty times a day, and I am not even home all day.  They said I was the first person to complain about it, but they now have gotten more complaints.  It affects some apartments, but not all.  They offered to move me to another apartment, but I said only if they could guarantee that it didn't have the problem, so hence, I have not been moved again.

On top of this issue, and the fact that I still have not hung anything on the walls for fear that my art will get broken from the shaking, and that my cat is nervous half the time and just stares at the ceiling after it vibrates, I am bothered that I have followed up with them four times, and they have never instigated any type of follow up with me.  I guess they're "looking into it", but nothing has happened.  I don't know if it is due to the central air conditioning, the parking garage, or ghosts, but nobody has cared enough to resolve the issue or let me know what it is.  It's a real shame, because these could be nice apartments.  But I cannot with confidence recommend this place to anyone.  Also, the walls are thin in some places, and I can sometimes hear my neighbors having a conversation or sneezing.

Building construction is poor.  I really wish they would fix it rather than remodeling the workout room.  I will be moving out when my lease expires.
