Recommended Reviews for Palo Alto Place

I've lived here six months with my fiancee.  So far it's been great, easily five stars.  There are cute amenities like free fruit and a Keurig machine, and the gym and pool and public area are actually huge compared to the size the of the complex - in other words, it's almost always empty!  I've never waited for a treadmill, in fact.  They also PICK UP TRASH from the front of your apartment, which is completely novel to me and I find it quite convenient - they will pick up regular trash bags but also handle big boxes for you!  It's great!

Robert is a very nice fellow and has handled our maintenance requests quickly and professionally.  He reads his EMAIL and will SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE AND TAKE CARE OF IT WITHIN 24 HOURS.  He also was EXTREMELY flexible with us during our Christmas/New Years move-in date and we gave him a maintenance request to fix the carpet before we moved in, and he took care of it.

Honestly, this is all I want from an apartment - do the maintenance, via e-mail, quickly.  No nonsense, no half-assing the maintenance first before you come in and actually replace what needs replaced, no needing to sign all these silly waivers during the office hours every day.

The building is NOT NEW, but the kitchen is renovated and the patio is huge.  I actually like the older building - yes, you can tell it's older and has some paint and new carpet, but compared to the more modern, cheap places I've lived down Santa Clara way, this is excellent.  Can't hear a lot of noise from neighbors, walls feel solid, building doesn't shake, etc.

Location is top-notch too - my honey bunny works at Stanford Hospital and sometimes the VA Hospital, and the location is super keen for that.  I work all the way down in south San Jose near Milpitas as a nerd, but I make the counter-traffic commute easily in 25 minutes.  It's peachy and we're happy here.  Honestly, we might sign our lease instead of buying since the building and everything is so nice.

Honestly, this place must be under new management recently, because I can't make sense of these terrible reviews - I mean it isn't Shangri-La or anything, but nothing here today seems worth a 1 star review.
