Lake Talquin is a reservoir located on the Ochlockonee River about 10-miles west of Tallahassee and popular destination for recreation. Lake Ella is a lake in north central Tallahassee where visitors can take advantage of shoreline paths with walking, skating, skateboarding or biking. The park has picnic shelters, a site for community activities such as amateur astronomy, and a paved walking trail that completely encircles the lake. Its quaint little shops and cafes are wonderful places to spend the day.

Art galleries and museums are abundant as are festivals and events in Tallahassee. Tallahassee’s festivals offer ways to celebrate ethnic cultures, food, wine, film and Shakespeare all year long.
