The complex has a superior maintenance crew. Alonso helped me carry my groceries up 3 flights of stairs. He also fixed a problem with my sink in less than 10 minutes.  They show up on time and are very polite and considerate.

Hello everyone. I have a question. I received my last bill for my apartment. My lease with The Irvine Company expires on 7/26/15 and my last payment, as per the lease agreement, was $1404. However, the last bill came in the amount of $1769.00. When I approached the office, they said the extra was a courtesy charge just in case I wanted to stay in the apartment until the end of July, or four extra days. So I started thinking that such a practice seems very deceptive, because Irvine is a large apartment community with hundreds of people moving every month. So, if they did that to me, and I did not question the amount, as I suspect many people don't, they would have received $365/extra in rent. I believe that someone should look into this issue as deceptive business practices. This is just food for thought. Anne

IAC sucks! Big time! Robber Barons!  This is a rental monopoly. How do they determine Market Rate? Month-to-month rent fluctuates from $50 to $200? Is this gaming the real estate market to rob tenants as much money as possible from the price gouging.

The leasing staff are complete morons who don't know how to deal with customer issues. I swear they are setting themselves up for a big potential class action lawsuit.

Case in point:

1. Stair ways that are open in between steps are potentially deadly when one of the steps break. As most of the building constructions of all apartments are made of poor quality materials. You can hear footsteps from above or hear garage doors open from below. The architecture and designs are poorly planned and have absolutely no living value.

Saving costs are IAC notoriously known for. I mean, they are a little better than a slumlord. But the construction and usage of the buildings are horrendous. Any person who can draw can design a better building.

2. IAC management staff are useless leeches incapacitated to resolve issues that stem from their own mistakes.

My contract was for 18 months and they even got the wrong starting and ending dates typed on the contract. Now, if they mistyped the date, you would think they would have corrected it. But no! The answer I got was "oh sorry, it was computer generated and we could not fix it". Really. That is what IAC can answer?

3. With a three story building, you think there are elevators to facilitate moving and also helping disabled residents get up and down.  But that is too costly for IAC since their motto for their benefits are "love where my profits are".

The bottom line with the Irvine Apartment Communities is this "don't deal with the Devil because he's going to rob of your rental money forever by jacking it all the way up."
