This was the first place I moved into when I relocated to the Bay Area. I lived here from May 2014 to May 2015. Overall, it was a good place to live in a central location near downtown, Caltrain, and Central Expressway. The staff is very friendly and maintenance requests were taken care of super fast. The pool area is nice; I never used the pool but the spa is always heated and I love the ivy around the terraces.

Now for the criticism. The apartments are not particularly luxurious. The carpet is pretty worn in, and I generally get a low quality feel from the construction of the apartment. These are not the most expensive apartments in the area, so that is to be expected. The worst part was the obnoxiously high frequency of silverfish on the walls and floors. If you don t know what silverfish are, you will if you live here. I contacted the maintenance team about the pest issue, and nobody really did anything to help.

Another very annoying thing was the trees shedding their leaves onto my balcony. I love nature and trees, but when I have to literally shovel leaves off my balcony every month or so, it gets excessive.

We did get a lease renewal offer that was about 10% more expensive than what we were paying before. I m looking forward to moving to a nicer area and out of Sunnyvale. Overall, a decent place!

EDIT: I have rented five apartments in my adulthood, and this is the first apartment in which I owe money on my security deposit after moving out. I ve never had problems getting most, if not all, of my deposit back in the past. Definitely feels shady, and it s been exceedingly difficult getting answers.
