I was very pleased with the 2 man moving crew that came out to help me move my apartment. They showed up early in the morning (per my request to be the first move of the day) and were done in maybe 4 hours or so. They were very pleasant to work with and helped move everything I needed them to, even if my packing job wasn t perfect. When I called Apt Movers to confirm everything ahead of time and ask a couple of questions, they were very helpful and reassuring. I m sure it depends which crew you get on any given day but I was happy with the way the move went and would definitely call again.

Worst. Company. Ever. I was surprised because we ve used them before and didn t have a single complaint. I called to reserve a truck to move my family and I from Houston to Austin. The first question I asked was were they able to move from house to house and they said yes. The 1st woman I spoke to wanted me to tell her everything I was bringing over the phone. I was driving at the time and asked her to email me an inventory sheet for me to fill out. She sent it, I filled it out, and I emailed it back to the woman. We spoke the next day and she gave me a quote. I did a little shopping around to see how much other companies were charging and only one other company matched their price, but since I ve used them before I went with them. BIG MISTAKE.

I was told the movers would arrive between 7-9a. I wasn t on any time constraint so I was ok with that. About 8a the mover calls to tell me they d be there about 9:30. I got another call around 10 saying they were stuck in traffic and another call around 10:30 saying they put in the wrong address. I still had some light packing and last minute visiting I needed to do so I didn t care. They showed up about 11:30/11:45 with a busted trailer that amateur circus acts travel the country in. The 2 movers walked around the house to see what they needed to move. One of the guys told me he wasn t sure if everything would fit. (You don t say?!) I had a fridge that wasn t on the inventory sheet so if it needed to stay then so be it.

I was so confused as to why they sent me a trailer and not a truck as promised. I called the company to  find out why they didn t send a truck and they told me I would get more footage using the flatbed of the truck and the overhead in the trailer. Huh? I wish they would have told me that in the beginning! I called the NBC consumer unit to file a report. A woman from the main office called me once they found out I called NBC to let me know they recorded my phone conversation. (That was great news because now we could get to the bottom of this.) The woman said she listened to the recording and said I agreed to a smaller truck. I told them I wanted to listen to it and they put me hold for 10 minutes and transferred me to someone else. Guess what? They never produced the audio! They were wrong and they know they were wrong!

It was a 3 1/2 hour drive. The movers didn t show up at the new house until almost 10 and didn t finish until close to 1am.

I m still unpacking boxes that have broken items in it.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would.
