WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. 20 June 2014 — Despite steady increases in premium prices during the past five years, auto owners’ satisfaction with auto insurers reaches record-high levels, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Auto Insurance Study SM released today.

The study measures customer satisfaction across five factors: interaction; price; policy offerings; billing and payment; and claims.

Overall satisfaction with auto insurance companies increases by a significant 16 points (on a 1,000-point scale) to 810 in 2014, the highest since the study launched in 2000. The satisfaction milestone comes at a time when premiums have been trending up for the past few years. Effective August 1 st. the amount of relocation assistance required by subsection A of SMC 22.210.130 will increase from $3,255 to $3,340.

This amount will apply to all Tenant Relocation License applications that are submitted on or after August 1, 2015. Relocation assistance dollars paid to tenants are split equally between the property owner, and the City, meaning an owner s share will now be $1,670.

The Tenant Relocation Assistance Ordinance (SMC 22.210) requires advance notice to all tenants who will be displaced by demolition, substantial rehabilitation, change of use, or removal of use restrictions from housing units, and for the payment of relocation assistance to eligible low-income tenant households. The Ordinance took effect on July 2, 1990.

#Often us real estate types tend to forget that the real estate vernacular (I’ve always wanted to use ‘vernacular’ in a blog post) we are so accustomed to might be unfamiliar to many who don’t deal with real estate on a daily basis.

#I know I am guilty.

#We throw around words and terms like REO, Option ARM, fixture, encumbrance, and short sale like everyone knows what those terms mean.

#However, not everyone does. This isn’t said to slight anyone’s intelligence – far from it. It is simply a function of if you don’t use these terms regularly, why would you know (or care) what they mean?

#Enter “short sale”.
