• Two cars, three drivers, licensed 22, 24, and one year (2008 Honda Civic and 2005 Ford Taurus OR 2008 Ford Explorer and 2005 Nissan Altima)
• Two cars, two drivers, licensed 22 and 24 years (2008 Honda Civic and 2005 Ford Taurus OR 2008 Ford Explorer and 2005 Nissan Altima)
• One car, two drivers, licensed 50 and 52 years (2008 Honda Civic LX or 2005 Nissan Altima)

Here’s how the tool works.

First, select your city – from Abington to Yarmouth. Next, select an example policy from among the seven common examples previously listed. Then, choose the vehicle example from the list that goes with the policy example. The tool will provide a premium range (from low to high) for the 32 auto insurance companies licensed to do business in Massachusetts.

Let’s take the example policy of one car, one driver, licensed 20 years, driving a 2008 Honda Civic LX in Boston Central. The range of policy premiums is $890 from Plymouth Rock to $2,631 from ACE.

Another example is two cars, three drivers, licensed 22, 24 and one year, driving a 2008 Ford Explorer and 2005 Nissan Altima in Provincetown. The range of policy premiums is $1,130 from Electric to $3,640.10 from ACE.

One more is two vehicles, two operators, licensed 12 and 14 years, driving a 2008 Honda Civic LX and a 2005 Ford Taurus wagon in Wellesley. The policy premium range here is from $606 from GEICO to $1,480 from Occidental.
