1. We will gladly tell you if you do not need a lawyer.

We only take a small portion of the cases that we receive calls about.  Many cases can be handled easily by the client’s themselves without the need for an attorney to do a little bit of work and take a large share of the case proceeds. We never take on such a large volume of cases that we are not able to work directly with our clients on a personal level.

Many large law firms sign up every case that walks in the door and those clients are rarely able to speak with their attorney in person. We believe that you should expect to be able to have a direct one on one relationship with the attorney you hire to handle your claim. Our being selective in the cases we accept allows us to meet these expectations.

2. We feel many attorneys are charging their clients too much money.

If your case qualifies, our “Client Focused Fee Agreement ” is designed to offer you a substantial discount on legal fees when we can reach a quick and just resolution of your claim. In larger cases this can save you thousands of dollars.

The fact is that many accident claims are easily settled without the need for time consuming and costly litigation. However, the standard attorney fee agreement with most law firms means the attorney will make the same amount of money whether they settle your case quickly or whether it drags on for months or years.

Our “Client Focused Fee Agreement ” realizes that, in these cases that can be settled quickly and easily, we have to spend much less of our time and resources to reach a fair settlement. When this happens we pass the savings on to you.

3. We educate you on all aspects of the accident claims process.

We view our relationship in working with you during your accident claim as a partnership. We feel it is important that you are aware not only of what we are doing, but why we are doing it. 4. We want you to talk to other attorneys before you decide to hire us.

You wouldn’t marry the first person you kiss so why feel pressured to sign with the first attorney you speak to. We will not pressure you to sign up with our firm at the first meeting. This is the time to get to know us and get your initial questions answered.

If you decide to hire our firm, we will be working closely together for months or, in serious cases, even years. We feel it is very important that you are comfortable and confident that you have the right team on your side from the very beginning.

There are many good attorneys out there…and, unfortunately, many bad ones. So, how do you determine who is who?

• Should you trust the attorneys with a catchy nickname or slogan?
• How about the ones who advertise on television or on the sides of buses?
• How about Firm X that is all over the internet?

Unfortunately, even the worst attorney can get their name in front of you at this difficult time simply by spending enough money on advertising. All that means is that they spend A LOT of money – not that they are a good lawyers or law firms.

All law firms will rely on their staff to assist them in handling their cases. We do as well and are proud that we have one of the best personal injury paralegals working for our firm.  However, if you need to speak to a lawyer, we guarantee that you will be able to speak to a lawyer.

NOTE: WHEN TO RUN AWAY FROM ANOTHER LAW FIRM

If any firm sends an investigator or non-lawyer staff member to sign you up as a client – be very careful. These people are known as “runners” and you should run from them. If you are not important enough for the attorneys to meet with you at the start of the case, then it is a clear sign of the level of attention you will receive throughout the rest of the case.
