Of the 10 cheapest places to rent an apartment across the country, nine are located in the nation's midlands, according to data compiled by ApartmentList.com, an apartment search service.

Rent prices across the country average about $1,231 each month, but the median rents in these more affordable places are about half that.

In these cities, if you're shelling out $1,200 a month in rent, you're getting a luxury condominium downtown or a lakeside, three-bedroom home with a backyard and a garage.

We didn't find the place as bad as the last review, but it was still pretty bad and disappointing. The place is extremely old and dingy and looks nothing like the pictures. For example, it is pictured with 4 kitchen chairs but we only had 1 kitchen chair. The furniture in the pictures look new but definitely were very old because the fabric color was dull and had black markings. The place also looks a lot bigger than you would think.

We also kept our shoes on the entire time because we felt grossed out. You could tell the hardwood flooring has been worn out and it doesn't seem like it has ever been cleaned thoroughly.

The kitchen didn't have many utensils and all the pots were scratched up (I would not cook in those).

My time at the Huntington is finally coming to an end. What better time to write a review? Basically, it s a great deal. and let me stress that. What you may lack in square footage is more than made up for by all the local amenities and entertainment. I moved down here from a suburban wasteland in 2012 and was able to ditch my truck since public transpo s so easy.

Nothing major is ever wrong. If you re the whiny/assholie type then you will more than likely never be happy with ANY place. I have friends who live in some of the pricier buildings down here and shit doesn t run like a Swiss clock in those places either. Water s always hot, they have a full custodial team to keep things clean, and the super always unplugged my sink the minute I asked him to.

A new report claims 33% of Britain is effectively off- limits to poorer families because of high rents

AS RENTS continue to rise and incomes stagnate, private rental accommodation in a third of Britain is now unaffordable for low-income families.

The Home Truths report, carried out by the think-tank Resolution Foundation, found that even a very modest rental home is out of reach in 33 per cent of all local authority areas for Britain's 1.3 million low-income families.

The report highlighted the recent increase in demand for private renting, as many families are unable to afford a deposit to buy a home but are not vulnerable enough to qualify for council housing.
