1 check-in

Renting a car from here is only tolerable if you deal with Marc.

I have rented from this location a couple of times over the years that I have lived in Sherman Oaks. Getting in and out hasn t ever been a problem when dealing with the manager. My last experience however was HORRIBLE.

I am a fan of the pre pay gas because let s face it I don t want to play a guessing game with the pump and how much the tank can hold. So typically I bring the car back and boom out in 5minutes. Seriously 5 minutes.

Today I was returning a rental that I had for the week, for the Fourth of July holiday. I arrived a tad early as I thought they opened at 7am. So I waited patiently till 7:30 for them to open. I notice an employee walk into the building about 2 minutes before they open. I wait till 7:30 and expect to just walk right in as I have before. Instead I m greeted with an aggressive we re not open yet before I can respond to say no problem I ll wait. The employee gets even more aggressive We re NOT open yet Yeah heard you the first time. I proceed to wait until said employee gives the Green light that they are in fact open. After having a minute to ponder on the tone, body language and overall appearance of the employee as I walked in. I noted to her a simple good morning could you give me a minute or two while I get things in order would have been a more appropriate welcoming (heck I would have settled for a polite We are not open yet would you mind waiting a minute )

The best part was the employees response to my suggestion of a more customer friendly approach to speaking to another human at 7:30am. Well I wasn t clocked in yet so to which I respond so you have to be clocked in to give another human a pleasant greeting to start their day without even batting her fake eyelashes over her fake colored eyes. She once again dismisses my attempt to resolve her down right rude demeanor.  So as to not completely rage black out on this sorry excuse for an employee/person I let it roll and bite my tongue. Hand her the key while she fumbles her way through checking me out. She hands the key to another male employee who goes to move and inspect the vehicle.

**Side note on our trip I had my teenage boy in the car who decided to take off his shoes, in doing so made the car smell unbearable. So I stopped and bought an air freshener, had him change his socks, and put the offensive shoes in the trunk.

The male employee comes back and says to the rude female employee that he thinks I smoked in the car. Mind you I do not smoke. She goes out to check the car comes back and asks if I smoked in the vehicle still in a very abrasive tone. To which I emptied my pockets and show them no lighter no cigarettes. The sorry excuse of an employee chuckles and continues to fumble with the checkout process. By this time I feel my blood boiling. She asks if I would like a receipt of course so you can try and jack up my bill later.

If you have ever been through a customer service training video you know the ones where they show good tom and bad tom. This employee is the definition of bad tom, utter waste of space. Her appearance is a whole other story. Believe me no one believes your eyes are green and you can disguise yourself in every which way but I have news for you, you re still a sorry excuse for a person.

I digress I will not give this location another dime of my hard earned (customer service based career) money. I rather pay extra at a competitor location that knows how to treat the people helping to keep them employed.
