I lived at Tribeca Apartments while I was attending Cal State Fullerton. I lived in a studio (top floor) for 2 years and then moved to a 1 bedroom (bottom floor) with my girlfriend where we lived for 2 years.

- Safe(ish).

- The pool and jacuzzi are well kept.

- The gym is adequate (some machines were not operational at times)

- The A/C and heater are excellent.

- The grounds are well kept and pleasant to look at.

- Turnaround for maintenance was quick.

- Free black and white printing available during office hours.

Cons:

- Lack of privacy (people can see straight through your living room, kitchen, and bedroom).

- Kitchen appliances are old. 2 of the 4 stove tops stopped working, the dishwasher didn t really clean dishes even if you wash them by hand before.

- Thin walls. You can hear peoples conversations, music, and other things.

- Bugs. Ranging from crickets to cockroaches to waterbugs to ants. This was an issue on the bottom floor primarily, I didn t have this issue on the top floor. Dealing with crickets was a constant struggle even with doors and windows closed. We couldn t open our sliding glass door at night because of them.

- The front door and windows were not built well. There is a gap between the door frame and the door which lets in bugs and makes the apartment hotter in the summer and colder in the winter.

- Lots of wandering eyes from the gardeners and maintenance guys. My girlfriend felt uncomfortable walking from her car to the apartment when they were nearby. We ve noticed them looking at other female tenants as well. It makes lounging at the pool or even checking the mailbox awkward.

- Maintenance solutions were not the best. I had a sliding glass door that wouldn t lock anymore, and their solution was to put a medal bracket extending the lock, but the door had a 1 inch gap afterwards.

- You will hear a leaf blower every single day. Unfortunately for us, it was around 9 or 10am.

- Parking is always an issue. If anyone visits, they don t have a safe place to park without the fear of getting towed. One night we had to park one of our cars on Palm Drive because of the lack of spaces inside the gate and we received a parking ticket for being there overnight. There were no signs posted anywhere along the street.

- Laundry machines left (what appeared to be) dust on our clothes after washing, every time. We even scrubbed the inside first and it didn t help.

- 2 cars were broken into one night. One of them being our next door neighbor s Prius.

- Pricey.

Overall, if you can get past the several flaws, you might be able to create a temporary home like we did.
