I moved in June 2012 when the rent was very GOOOOOO:D-the best decision I made after a BIG mistake in my life. There was no better place for kids who are going to Homestead High if one doesn t own a home. My daughter was about to enter Homestead High and my son would in two years. Now they both come back for hot lunches most of school days-what a luxury in life.

I m Chinese and have a clinic that proudly serves people from over one hundred countries in the world. Meeting people of different colors is just part of life in California, especially in Silicon Valley. I have three immediate neighbors who are Korean, Japanese, and Californian. The rest of the building is primarily hosting nice people from India and East Europe. I enjoy smelling their foods, sometimes even having a bit of their sweets with a cup of tea. A few families became my patients after knowing what I do for living. On a few occasions, I was even invited to their houses to get them out of pain. I grew up in a small village in Northern China, so Village Green indeed reminds me of the community back in my hometown.

Safety: It takes a village to raise a child. I grew up that way therefore I often left my 2 yr old son on the grass when I had to change clothes before a run. Neighbors, especially those who have kids, watch him for me without even being asked. The manager Kelly always keeps an eye on him when my son is near her office. Sometimes, she even comes out to play with him for a while if she doesn t have a visitor in her office. We feel welcomed here!

Noise: My son goes to HHS and he is on the marching band. LOL Future tenants should do research or be informed that HHS marching band is one of the best in the nation because they practice A LOT. The only noise that bothered me once was a muscle car one early morning going through the parking lot next to my unit. But the driver got a warning notice on his car window the same day and I haven t heard it again.

Repairs: Office manager is very responsive to our concerns. A very polite and professional crew have always done a great job on a short notice. I used to own a house and had to, from time to time, change light bulbs, fix bath tub leakage, etc. Thanks to the management, all is taken care of. That s why I have a lot of respect to these nice people.

Late payment: I am a human being, I had paid only one late fee of $25 last year. Thanks to my bank s auto pay.

My family is expanding and we may have to find a bigger house some day. But we definitely have great memories at Village Green to share with family and friends.
