What could ve been a bad situation has turned out to be a 5 star review.

I purchased the Beverly sectional sofa from the Costco Roadshow 10/2015. I love Apt2b s sofa styles and the prices were great. Delivery was as smooth as can be and I was a thoroughly happy customer. UNTIL 5 mos into it, the fabric was showing wear and tear and started to pill from very minimal use. I travel often for work so it was not acceptable that the material was already pilling up. There was no way that this sofa was going to last me into the years! I called Elbia at Apt2b. At first I got a canned response with a kind brush off about not having pets on the couch (I don t have pets), proper maintaining and cleaning of the cushions, blah blah blah. After 5 months of minimal use, there is no way it should start to pill up. I pressed for better customer service, and after all that was said and done, they picked up and delivered me completely redone cushions to my satisfaction.

They need a freaking storefront.  Hence the 4 stars, not 5 stars.  I am an old customer writing a long overdue review.

With as much success as it appears Apt2B has had at this point there is no explanation as to why they do not have a brick and mortar store.  They have deals from time to time with Costco carrying a few couches and popup stores around West Hollywood, etc. but really. why no permanent store?  I m thinking it is because they don t have to. which to me just seems either lazy or cheap.

Which is a shame because I had such a good experience with them and want to recommend them to friends, and I try to, but it is VERY hard to purchase a couch sight unseen.

They have a great customer service team so if trouble does arise they are very communicative and on top of it.  I have dealt with Alex who has always been friendly and responsive.

We bought the Melrose chaise sofa in woven graphite (I think. it was 3 years ago now) after seeing it numerous times in a pop-up location.  Which was great because I sat on it.  Hell, I laid on it, to make sure it was comfortable.

I m happy to report that over 3 years later this sectional sofa still looks great.  We ve of course rotated some cushions, etc. but overall this is one sturdy sofa which is well made.  We ve had it cleaned a few times because our dog s hair clings to it and it looks brand new again afterwards.  We get compliments about it often.

Hopefully they ll open a store soon so people don t have to worry about what they are buying and have to rely so heavily on reviews like these.
