Southside Park is a neighborhood in Sacramento, California, located immediately south of Downtown Sacramento. Its official borders are R Street to the north, W-X Freeway to the south, I-5 to the west, and 12th Street to the east. Southside Park is a historical neighborhood. A large park with a natural pond sits at the center of the community. The park hosts several annual celebrations and the popular Sunday Farmers Market is held all year south of the park under the overpass at W-X Streets. the City has invested in improvements such as the clubhouse, the playground, and the improved lake-shore landscaping and fence. Criminal activity is greatly reduced and the park is very popular with families.

The lake is precious habitat for wildlife including fish, birds, turtles, crayfish, and more. There are just over 300 trees in the Park, representing over forty species.

Midtown is a neighborhood just east of Downtown Sacramento. Officially, Midtown's borders are R Street on the South, J Street on the North, 16th Street on the West and 30th Street on the East.[1] However, the streets in Sacramento's original "grid" that are east of 16th Street cover the area commonly called "Midtown". This more general definition covers an area bounded by W Street on the South, the Southern Pacific rail lines on the North, 16th Street on the West and 29th Street on the East.

It is a largely residential community with tree-lined streets and old Victorians. It is also the center of Sacramento's art, music, and cultural scene. Boutiques, bars, clubs, upscale, and casual dining abound. Midtown has the only winery located in the greater Sacramento urban area. Midtown hosts an art walk on the second Saturday of each month which attracts thousands of metropolitan residents. A large historic Asian community resides from S Street south to Broadway.

The Midtown community is diverse in terms of race and income brackets. Increasing in-fill developments consisting largely of upscale lofts have priced out some residents. Historic sites such as Sutter's Fort, the first European settlement in Sacramento, are located in Midtown. Midtown is known for being pedestrian-friendly and bike-friendly with continuous marked bike-lanes throughout the neighborhood and a bike path connecting to the American River Parkway which extends to Folsom. Public transit consists of light-rail lines running down R Street connecting the neighborhood to the metropolitan area and bus lines serving the central city area.

Elmhurst is a historic residential neighborhood located in the eastern part of Sacramento, California. Elmhurst is known for its large elm, ash, and oak trees that provide shady canopy for the neighborhood. The boundaries of Elmhurst are defined by U.S. Highway 50 to the north, Stockton Boulevard to the west, 57th Street to the east, and V Street and Second Avenue to the south.[1] The main thoroughfare through Elmhurst is T Street. The Julia Morgan House and Gardens is located three miles (5 km) west of Sac State and was designed by famous architect Julia Morgan. It was donated to the school in 1966 by Sacramento philanthropist and eugenicist Charles Goethe and was placed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

New Era Park is a neighborhood in Sacramento, California. Its southern border is the middle of E Street, the American River is its northern border while 29th Street and 16th Street serve as eastern and western borders of the district. The majority of the area of Sutter's Landing Park sits inside the New Era neighborhood. As of 2007, the park contains some pedestrian trails and a skateboard park inside the old recycling plant, but is for the most part unimproved. Eventually the city plans on siting a number of sports fields and multiuse spaces within the park, and will connect it to the American River bicycle and running path to the west once rights-of-way with Blue Diamond and other industrial neighbors can be worked out. The B Street Theater is one of the key features of the New Era Park district. Timothy Busfield, an actor from The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip helped start the theater with the help of his older brother Buck in 1991. New Era Community Garden is located on a plot, in a cul de sac on 26th and C streets. The neighborhood has gone through many obstacles to get the garden started and it has flourished immensely. You can see the garden anytime and there may still be plots available if you are interested in contributing to the garden.

"Tahoe Park" is generally used to refer to several official and unofficial neighborhoods that surround Tahoe Park proper, including Tahoe Park East, Tahoe Park South, Tahoe Terrace, and West Tahoe Park. The area is named for the park in the heart of the neighborhood. Tahoe Park is a 19-acre (77,000 m2) recreational facility located in the Tahoe Park neighborhood of Sacramento, California. The park is largely contained between 8th Avenue to the north, 11th Avenue to the south, 59th Street to the west, and 61st Street to the east.

The park contains many popular amenities, including a swimming pool, a wading pool, playgrounds for children and toddlers, several barbecue facilities, and playing fields for softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes.

The park has received many updates in the 1990s and 2000s, including street lights, a jogging trail, upgraded picnic areas, and fitness stations.
